Electrical and high-frequency engineering

Do you require measurements of the transmission properties of your high-frequency cables or would you like to qualify your other goods according to OEM specifications?

We test the transmission properties of your data communication systems. Based on the results, we evaluate possible points of failure and interference. Furthermore, we can determine the electrical properties of your components such as resistances, inductances, capacitances and dielectric strengths by means of on-board electrical system simulation. For this, we use the following technologies:

  • Measurement of electrical parameters
  • Vector network analysis
  • Time domain reflectometry
  • Bit stream simulation
  • Bit error detection
  • Protocol analysis USB 2.0 + 3.0
  • Oscilloscope technology (up to 80 Gs/s)
  • Triaxial measurement

Environmental simulation

Do you require aging tests to be carried out at high temperatures, in humid conditions or under special environmental conditions such as salt spray or corrosive gases?

We simulate the stress on your components and products over their service life in the vehicle, using equipment for accelerated aging. Environmental influences and conditions are simulated and tested at an intensified level, using the following technologies:

  • Thermal stress in the furnace
  • Climatic stress in the climatic chamber
  • Temperature change in the thermal shock chamber
  • Vibration stress test
  • Corrosive gas test
  • Sunlight simulation
  • Watertightness testing IPX9K

Mechanical tests

Do you require data on the tensile strength of your cables,
the mechanical strength or resistance
to high accelerations?

We test the mechanical strength of your components and products. These tests are carried out using the following technologies:

  • Material test
  • Tensile and pressure test
  • Mating cycle simulation
  • Dynamic tensile test
  • Cyclic bending test
  • Slow-motion bending test
  • Vibration test
  • Micro fretting test

Optical analysis and measurement technology

Do you require material sample analyses, component measurements or X-ray computer tomography?

We analyze your components using imaging methods.  For this, we rely on the following technologies:

  • Digital microscopy
  • 3D-coordinate measurement
  • X-ray computed tomography (determination of hidden measures)
  • Laser scanning microscopy
  • High-speed recordings (fast motion sequences)
  • Surface scanning

Material analysis

Do you require analyses of the thermal properties and composition of your materials or a detection of impurities?

We analyze the properties of your materials using various methods of thermal analysis and spectroscopy. Here we can determine the transformation temperatures of melting processes and pyrolytic decompositions as well as temperature-dependent changes in specific heat capacity.  For this, we rely on the following technologies:

  • Differential scanning calorimetry
  • Infrared spectroscopy
  • Coupled spectroscopy
  • Infrared microscopy
  • Hardness test
  • Metallography
